Respondents to our latest survey support tougher government policies on tech
Five of the biggest technology companies compete unfairly, a majority of The Information readers said in our latest reader survey, which also found support for tougher government policies on big tech. Most survey respondents also said a recent judge’s ruling declaring Google a monopoly is good for the technology sector overall.
The survey revealed a notable swing in the outlook for tech: Pessimists outnumbered optimists for the first time in our monthly surveys since shortly after Silicon Valley Bank collapsed last year. Nearly 950 people responded to the latest survey between Aug. 8 and Tuesday.
