Ex-Apple Design Boss Jony Ive Recruited at Least Five Former Colleagues to New Firm

Wan Si, a 16-year veteran of Apple’s famed design team who worked on numerous Apple app icons, buttons and home screens, recently joined the consulting firm founded by Apple’s former design chief Jonathan Ive, The Information has learned. She is one of at least five Apple design team members Ive has recruited to his firm since last year as he seeks to work with some of his longtime collaborators.

Wan, along with the four other former Apple employees, Eugene Whang, Chris Wilson, Patch Kessler and Jeff Tiller, previously worked in Ive’s group at Apple, according to a person with knowledge of the situation, as well as a review of Apple’s internal organizational chart. The LinkedIn profiles of Wan, Wilson, Kessler and Tiller now show they work at Ive’s firm, LoveFrom.
