The Information’s latest exclusive reader survey detailed these moves as businesses respond to this volatile moment—a time when two-thirds of respondents said they are uncertain about their firm’s prospects. Roughly half said their team or company is already cutting staff or will be pulling back on hiring, while the same share said their firms are cutting overall spending plans for this year.
