Help The Information Find Its New AI Columnist
We think a person from our sophisticated, savvy audience may be the best fit. Know someone?
Artificial intelligence has already altered wide swaths of our world. As for the parts that it hasn’t changed—well, it sorta seems inevitable that the technology will reorder them, too.
The Information’s Weekend section wants to add a columnist who will explore and explain this disruption. They should have a wide interest in the technology and a deep desire to play around with it. One week, for instance, they might detail exactly what the various vibe coding programs can—and can’t—do. The next week, they might spotlight Silicon Valley’s favorite new AI tool, such as Granola or the Dia web browser. Or ask around the industry to gather up some deep-cut recommendations on chatbot prompts—a topic that endlessly fascinates people.
Ideally, this columnist will write a couple times a month for us, and we think the best person for this role may be someone within The Information’s world: a founder, investor or executive who has an interest in becoming one of AI’s leading voices and chroniclers—and has the technical chops to discuss AI with an audience that includes many of the industry top figures.
