In Shift, Uber Seeks Bids for Cloud Business

There’s a new hot contract up for grabs in the cloud market: Uber.

The ride-hailing company is taking bids from “public” cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Google and Microsoft to handle a small but important slice of its infrastructure, according to a person with knowledge of the decision. Uber is already testing some cloud services, this person says.
