Inside Casper’s Financials
The internet mattress maker Casper saw its net revenue jump over 60% during the third quarter of last year, and while the company continued to lose money during the period, it narrowed its losses and projected a small profit before taxes and other items for all of 2019, The Information has learned.
The figures were part of a presentation to investors obtained by The Information, which provided a detailed view into the performance of one of the most prominent digital brands that sells directly to consumers. For the third quarter of last year, Casper had net revenue of $105.3 million, while projecting net revenue of $373 million for all of 2018, a jump of 49% from the prior year. Its most impressive feat was boosting third quarter revenue 60.6% from the prior year while only increasing its spending on marketing 12.9% to $34.9 million.
