Introducing the Crypto Power List, the Industry’s 30 Most Influential People
Money alone doesn’t buy you power in crypto, nor does having the largest social media following. But the $32 billion that flowed into crypto startups last year—plus the $1.9 trillion in combined cryptocurrency value—can make it hard to cut through the noise. The Information’s inaugural Crypto Power List seeks to make sense of it all.
We identified the 10 founders, 10 investors, and 10 up-and-comers who exert the most influence over this industry based on their past investments and the success of their companies and funds. These include individuals who have a well established track record as investors, such as Digital Currency Group founder Barry Silbert and newly independent fund manager Katie Haun, as well as lesser-known investors who have been placing smart bets, such as Race Capital partner Edith Yeung and Blockchain Capital partner Kinjal Shah. We picked out the founders of startups that are growing so fast they’ve become startup investors themselves, such as FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, as well as rising stars such as Alchemy CEO Nikil Viswanathan and Lightning Labs CEO Elizabeth Stark. These individuals are in the running to lead or back the next $100 billion crypto startups.
