** Mystical chanting **

Through wires and streams, the future flies, where vision soars and dreams arise,

As twenty-twenty-five arrives, show us what will spark and change our lives!

** Chanting continues **

Holy moly! We’re clearly in for another wild year ahead, or so the careful study of our beats—and the omens around them—would suggest. We see a period full of acquisitions at Nvidia and in the retail sector, a major decision by Tim Cook, a new product gamble by Amazon and much more. (Earlier, we also offered had some thoughts about what Elon might buy next—and what might happen with Lyft.)

These predictions represent our educated best guesses of what will happen within The Information’s world in 2025. They’re meant to amuse and provoke conversation, so sound off in the comments below with your own thoughts about what will unfold this year. And remember, the divine art of prognostication has only one firm rule: Boring is bad.

** Chanting softens **

Oh, come on, who left the crystal ball on? It’s down to 10%! Now, does it take a USB-C or a Lightning cable? It’s tough to remember…
