The Billionaire Who Wants to Buy TikTok

Earlier this year, billionaire Frank McCourt hosted a dinner in Malibu, Calif. with more than a dozen TikTok creators to tell them about his proposal to buy the short-form video app. 

The aim of the dinner was to feel out with creators whether the bid was “on the right track,” McCourt said in an interview.
