One particularly challenged company is Germany’s Lilium Air Mobility, which has been plagued by doubts over whether the unusual design of its electric air taxi makes the vehicle unworkable. Critics contend that the Lilium Jet is destined to fail and represents a huge risk for its investors. Now Lilium has announced dramatic moves—including replacing its CEO, a company co-founder—that appear to respond to the criticisms, though the company claims it is doing no such thing.
