The Electric: A U.S. Silicon Battery Startup Exploits China’s Excess Production Capacity

Kang Sun, CEO of Amprius Technologies, has contracted with three factories in China to pump out the California company’s silicon-based batteries. But on Wednesday, he was looking for a fourth in the Taiwanese capital of Taipei, in part to qualify for tax credits under the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act.
