The People in Charge at Reddit After Its IPO

Two-thirds of the 31 top executives previously worked at companies that sell digital ads, as Reddit does.

Ahead of its initial public offering in March, Reddit trumpeted its digital advertising business, which accounts for nearly all of its revenue. So it’s fitting that nearly two-thirds of its top executives previously worked at companies that sell digital ads.

At least 19 of the company’s 31 top executives previously worked at Google, Meta Platforms, Snap or other companies that sell ads, according to The Information’s new Reddit Org Chart. CEO Steve Huffman spent years assembling the management team after returning to Reddit in 2015. He had co-founded Reddit in 2005 and left in 2010 for a startup. The seven executives who report directly to Huffman joined Reddit around the same time or after his 2015 return.
