We published a ton of our popular charts and tables this year, comparing everything from TikTok’s growing list of rivals to shifts in how creators make money. After looking back at our work, three data points stand out for representing major themes in the creator economy this year.

First up: podcasting’s big boom. The most popular hosts, including Joe Rogan and Alex Cooper, signed lucrative, nine-figure deals with companies such as Spotify and SiriusXM, as our updated chart shows—and these podcasters played a critical role during the 2024 U.S. presidential election for both candidates to get their messages out. The chart below includes one addition since we first published this list: Kylie Kelce, wife of football star Jason Kelce, released her own weekly podcast produced by Wave Sports + Entertainment.
