Two thousand of crypto’s biggest backers and founders are flocking to the Bahamas this week for a conference jointly held by crypto exchange FTX and investor forum SALT, which is entitled Crypto Bahamas. Back in its heyday, SALT was a glitzy hedge fund conference at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas that hosted former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, alongside Wall Street elite and entertainment icons such as Al Pacino.

This week's conference is lighter on the Hollywood and political star power, but it's still drawing some big names, including bestselling author Michael Lewis, quarterback and crypto startup investor Tom Brady, and yes, even Bill Clinton, who apparently is all over blockchain, too. I’ll be filing dispatches from the conference.
