AI Startup Poolside Wants a $2 Billion Valuation
Another day, another deal. Artificial intelligence startup Poolside is raising more capital from investors and wants a valuation of around $2 billion, according to a person briefed on the deal. The startup, which was co-founded by former GitHub CTO Jason Warner, is developing a specialized large-language model to automate coding.
It’s already raised $126 million since it was founded in April last year, and the new financing could roughly quadruple its prior valuation! That’d be less shocking if the company had released its coding assistant and was generating revenue, but that’s not the case.
