The Seed Investor Who Launched ‘VCsForKamala’

Leslie Feinzaig, a venture capitalist and founder of the community group Female Founders Alliance, buys web addresses often, usually shortly after she develops a new idea. “I have an embarrassingly long list of URLs,” she said in an interview Thursday afternoon. 

However, few of these URLs have sparked a movement in venture capital quite like VCsForKamala.org. The list of venture capitalists pledging their support for Vice President Kamala Harris featured on the site has grown nearly fivefold since it launched Wednesday. Feinzaig purchased the URL last week on a whim, frustrated by how right-leaning venture capitalists who had publicly backed former President Donald Trump were dominating conversation online.

Those “didn’t represent the conversations that I had with founders and other VCs,” said Feinzaig, who’s based in Seattle but spoke to The Information today from her father’s house in San José, Costa Rica, where she grew up.
