An Interview With Snap’s New VP of Platform Partnerships
Given Snap’s determination to release its own AR glasses, it deserves to be part of all the metaverse talk coming from investors, analysts and press alike. Konstantinos “KP” Papamiltiadis, Snap’s new VP of platform partnerships, makes that attitude crystal clear. “Snap has no plans to invest in what’s being called the metaverse,” Papamiltiadis told Reality Check in an interview ahead of Snap’s annual Lens Fest developer event next week. “We are invested in AR and not so much in VR… AR is the next computing platform.”
