Revenue rose 17% year on year, subscriber numbers grew about the same and its cash piled up.
All good? For the moment. But Netflix warned that its growth will slow a bit in the third quarter, a sign that the revenue fillip it got from cracking down on cheapskates sharing their friends’ passwords—forcing them to sign up themselves if they wanted to watch—was petering out.
