Tech Democrats Looking for a Reset with Kamala Harris

Biden’s sudden departure from the presidential race sparked intense chatter this afternoon about his successor. Techies don’t seem to be of one mind (not surprisingly), but a good number seem to be backing Kamala Harris, whom Biden himself endorsed.

According to several of my colleagues, who’ve been checking in with tech people today, some people see Harris as a moderate on many bread-and-butter issues, while she’s progressive on issues like reproductive rights. The vice president of course has a long history of dealing with tech executives, from her time as California attorney general and U.S. senator to her role in the Biden administration.
